A certain embarrassment is not unnecessary, it even does good, because it gives us vitality and makes our reactions faster. Even though, if we are too much embarrassed we could simply ‘block’.
What can we do to reduce embarrassment before meeting the potential employer?
• Get information in advance about the company, about its field of business and more than anything else - about the position we apply for.
• Prepare seriously about the conversation. Having been informed gives sense of confidence during the interview.
• Get notification of the accurate address on which the interview will be held – if necessary, to pass the path on the previous day in order to be sure we will not get disorientated.
• Take time off enough for getting to the right place before the time of the interview, so we don’t need to be afraid we would be late.
• Tell ourselves this will not be our last opportunity.
•Don't forget that despite of the result this interview will give us priceless experience.
• Be natural, true and aware of our own value.
Let us not forget that the interviewing person is a human, too.
