Food Holding Bella Supports the Youth Initiative for First Aid and Saving the Human Life
This year's national competition for first-aid pupils is organized with the support of BELLA (June 3, 2017, the National School of Logistics of the Bulgarian Red Cross in Lozen, Sofia).
In the competition are participating the winning teams in the district circles in the country with the participation of 150 pupils aged 12 to 14 years. They will demonstrate skills for first aid.
The First Aid contest tests adolescent skills to cope with crisis situations and help victims, depending on the specifics and severity of the injuries. Qualities such as speed, team play, flexibility, and the ability of youngsters to act adequately to relieve the pain of the injured until the arrival of a medical team are also assessed. Getting first aid to a victim within the first 6-8 minutes after an incident is vital, so the goal of the Bulgarian Red Cross Youth (BRCY) is to train more young people on the subject.
