First Prize for www.bella.bg

The eighth edition of “BG site 2006” competition took place on the 17th of November in the auditorium of “Nikolay Binev” Youth Theatre. The jury awarded First Prize to “BELLA Bulgaria” in “Production and Industry” category for the company’s site www.bella.bg.

The Marketing Director, Maya Gerasimova received the statuette as she thanked for the recognition of our new site, which represents the company with a really modern vision. This is the second prize won this year by the site of BELLA. At the twelfth edition of “The Golden Antenna” Media Festival held in June it was again awarded with the Best Site Award. BELLA expressed its gratitude to the designers from “BSH”.

“BG Site” is the most prestigious competition for web awards in Bulgaria and it is organized for an eighth year in succession! Since 2004 the competition is a part of the activity of the Bulgarian Web Association. Originator of the idea and organizer of “BG Site” Competition is ABC Design & Communication. Since 2000 M3 Communications Group Inc has been attracted as partner to the competition.

The voting for “BG Site 2006” competition started on the 19th of October. Every site registered for participation in the competition has been evaluated by a jury, consisting of 28 evaluating directors of major sites and web agencies. This year there were 309 sites, nominated in different categories. The website of BELLA Bulgaria fought against 38 sites in its category (the most numerous one) and ranked among the first three finalists.

With a view to its high reputation and international experience in similar competitions, PrizewaterhouseCoopers Bulgaria was invited again this year as arbiter in the formulation of the competition’s rules and in the counting of the jury’s votes.

The winners received a statuette of honour – a symbol of the competition, made by Ivo Arnaudov.
