Meatprocessing Plant in the Village of Kostievo -"FERMATA"

„Fermata” is the newest meatprocessing plant of BELLA Bulgaria SA holding, which started its operation in May 2006. It produces frankfurters, ham, sausage, minced meat and formed mince meat products.
The company invested over 6 million euros in the construction of the site, which is the biggest and most up-to-date meatprocessing plant on the Balkan Peninsula, providing around 380 new jobs.
The plant is located in the village of Kostievo, municipality of Maritsa. The three-storeyed administration building has been built over three thousand square metres, whereas the production building has been built over five thousand square metres. The dimensions of the rooms have been determined according to the placement of the necessary technological equipment and the free movement of the transport vehicles inside the plant. The required air parameters are provided in the production, refrigeration and air-conditioning premises.
The machines and facilities have been supplied by leading worldwide companies in this branch – CFS, Novicki, Нandmann and Seydelmann. The equipment also includes the newest slicing machine for fine cutting of ham, which is the only one in Bulgaria and can perform all kinds of calibration, electronic measurement and perfectly exact weight within the set parameters. Automation is almost complete, i.e. without using manpower in the meatprocessing.
The delivered raw materials come from regulated suppliers, guaranteeing their origin and purity. The raw materials are packed in reliable packing and are delivered by specialized refrigeration transport. Organoleptic control is carried out for every batch of raw material – colour, smell, impurities etc. Control checks for the physicochemical and microbiological characteristic features of the delivered raw materials are carried out in the plant laboratory. All European standards for sanitation and high quality of the products are complied with upon the delivery of the raw materials.
By opening the plant, BELLA Bulgaria SA widened the range of its products,. The high quality meat products are distributed all over the country.
