Official Visit of Indonesian MPs to Bella Bulgaria Factory as Part of the Programme to Promote Indonesian Products on the EU Markets

An official delegation of the Parliament of Indonesia visited the rendang-padang factory of Bella Bulgaria and the logistics base of the company in Plovdiv (07.05.2024). The Bulgarian food company is a partner of the country in its programme for the promotion of Indonesian products on European markets.

‘Bulgaria has a very big potential, it has a free economic zone, logistics facilities and factories to which we already have access’, said H.E. after the official visit. Iwan Bogananta – Ambassador of Indonesia to Bulgaria, Albania and North Macedonia. He expressed hope that the Indonesian government will support and implement the programme initiated by the embassy in Bulgaria after his arrival in the country to create a hub for the distribution of Indonesian products in European markets.

The head of the Indonesian delegation Utut Adianton highly appreciated the dynamic work of the Ambassador Iwan Bogananta to strengthen the image of Indonesia and to develop national export products internationally. According to him, the parliament will encourage the government to support future plans to develop the production of rendang-padang and other Indonesian foods on the world and European markets through Bulgaria.

‘We saw directly at the site of the factory, they are very well prepared with proper infrastructure and most importantly they are part of the European Union,’ said Utut Adianton. According to him, all trade regulations refer to the rules issued by Europe, both in terms of tariffs and in terms of quality, control and standardization, but the Indonesian government should also work to promote the expansion of the rendang market in the European region.

Bella Bulgaria COO Dimitar Mitev shared that the taste of Indonesian food is well known to the world, and in the future the company plans to invest in Indonesia to develop the Indonesian food industry.

Parliamentarians Junico Siahaan (PDI Perjuangan), Andhika Hassan (PDI Perjuangan), Abdul Bakri Haji Musa (PAN), Ali Imron Bafadal (Gerindra) participated in the official visit.
