BELLA Academy Announced Its First Scholarships in Economics

Two students of the University of National and World Economy won the first Scholarships in Economics in BELLA Academy Programme. Monika Ivanova and Mihail Minchev received symbolic checks at the amount of 2 000 leva by the Marketing Director at the company Kiril Hadjidinev and UNWE’s rector Prof. Statti Stattev.

`Accept these scholarships as an award for your efforts, but remember that in order to achieve your dreams, you should continue working`, Hadjidinev said on the official ceremony. `You made our choice very hard, but we are happy that we had the opportunity to select between so young and smart people with great potential`, the Marketing Director said.

Nearly 30% of the administration of BELLA – managers and experts are graduates of the UNWE, added Zlatislava Medarova HR Director at BELLA. `In BELA we appreciate the work and the efforts of the people. So we can proudly say that we have hundreds of long-term employees in the company. Only in the last year 110 colleagues celebrated their 10th anniversary in our company. I will be happy to have you among our future long-term employees, Medarova said.

BELLA and UNWE cooperation is a successful model for the training of professionals in economics for the food industry and it increases the competitiveness of the employees in the sector.

73 students participated for the first `Scholarships in Economics` of BELLA Academy. The winners were chosen among the 22 finalist, the students with the best results and their achievement was awarded with honorary diploma.

BELLA Academy is part of the BELLA long-term strategy to establish direct link between academia and business, and to help young people in their professional development.
