Bella Bulgaria Participates in the Third Regional Economic Summit of the American Chambers of Commerce in Bulgaria, Greece, and Türkiye in Sofia

Cross-border projects, regional development, and opportunities to attract greater investment in Southeast Europe were the key topics at the Third Regional Economic Summit of the American Chambers of Commerce in Bulgaria, Greece, and Türkiye.

Assoc. Prof. Nikolay Krushkov, Member of the Board of Directors of Bella Bulgaria, participated in the panel discussion on Transportation, Supply Chains, and Manufacturing. He outlined the three major challenges currently affecting global supply chains today: war conflicts (such as the potential closure of the Strait of Hormuz), tariffs (including those between the United States and Europe, as well as between Europe and China), and standarts differences (for example, new driver regulations applicable only in Greece, or Turkish legislation requiring vehicles with foreign registration plates to be driven exclusively by the individual who brought them into the country).

Krushkov emphasized that these challenges can be addressed at the regional level through improved planning based on cooperation, clear priorities, and specialization. According to him, the sectors where stronger planning, coordination, and specialization are most urgently needed include energy, the food industry, transportation, and supply chain logistics.

He also highlighted Bella Bulgaria's that during the COVID-19 pandemic the company through its logistics division transported vaccines at its own expense. This was made possible thanks to Bella Bulgaria's state-of-the-art transport fleet, designed to meet the highest standards for safety and temperature-controlled transportation of food products.

The summit brought together more than 300 business leaders from 15 countries across Southeast Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus. The event aimed to strengthen regional cooperation and foster closer economic ties throughout the region.
