‘Interstellar Chess Wars 2.0’ Supported by ‘Bella Bulgaria’

With an impressive turnout and an inspiring atmosphere, the second edition of ‘Interstellar Chess Wars 2.0’—an innovative chess tournament—took place with the support of leading food company Bella Bulgaria. The event was part of the festival ‘Hello, Space | Bulgaria Calling! 5.0’, organized for the fifth consecutive year by the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria and the STEAM and Space Cluster Bulgaria, with the main support of the U.S. Embassy, Sofia Tech Park, and under the patronage of the Minister of Education and Science.
Chess enthusiasts and festival guests immersed themselves in the world of strategic challenges alongside Bulgaria’s U20 champion Nikola Kanov, under the expert guidance of sports master and chess coach Vasil Kolev.
Bella Bulgaria has traditionally supported the development and promotion of chess in the country. In 2023, the company was the gold sponsor of Bulgaria’s first national team appearance in an European Chess Union (ECU) tournament in over a decade, where the women’s team claimed the European title in Budva.
