Bella Bulgaria winning the effective marketing award

Bella Bulgaria was awarded at the Second Awards for Advertising Effectiveness „Effie Bulgaria 2009”. The company and the advertising agency Ogilvy & Mathers won the bronze insignia in the most contestable category of the competition – “Commodities”. The award was granted for the effectiveness of the marketing strategy for the promotion of the frozen filo pastry patties BELLA. 
The campaign for boosting the innovative product on the market was one of the two campaigns in the category with the largest number of nominations - 9. There was no gold medal winner in the category “Commodities”.
 
“This award is very important for us, because it evaluates effectiveness. The results from the promotional campaign of BELLA filo pastry patties, the 30 times’ growth of the category “frozen snacks” and the leading positions taken by the brand BELLA in this segment show that we have not only chosen the right message to the consumers, but we have also offered them a product, which meets their needs and even creates a new necessity „to steal some time for yourself“, shares the marketing director of “Bella Bulgaria” Maya Gerasimova.
 
The promotional campaign of the filo pastry patties BELLA includes TV and radio commercials, outdoor advertising (billboards), printed with the slogan „Thefts Legalized”, the so-called POSM – wobbler and sticker, as well as tasting events in the big shop chains.

The contest „Effie Bulgaria 2009” granted awards in the categories „Commodities”, „Services”, „Corporate Communications” and „Social, Media and Political”. In each of the categories the advertising campaign was evaluated on the basis of the effectiveness of its marketing strategy. The evaluations were formed on the grounds of the points from 1 to 10 won for each of the following criteria – goals of the campaign, creative strategy, media strategy, results achieved, creative realization, where the compatibility between the strategy and creativity of the offerings was evaluated.
 

About filo pastry patties BELLA: In 2007 BELLA was the first to offer the so-called „convenient products” – the ready-to-cook filo pastry and puff pastry patties, which are sold frozen and need not more than 30 minutes to be cooked, whereas the preservation of their taste qualities is guaranteed. The product is offered in two options – a big patty with cheese, spinach and pumpkin and small curved patties with five types of filling – cheese, spinach, apple, vanilla and pumpkin. The newest variation of filo pastry patties BELLA offers an extremely convenient format both for preparation and for consumption – nuggets with two tastes – with cheese and with minced meat.
