Strong Interest in Bella Bulgaria at the Night of Industry
June 3

Bella Bulgaria’s participation in the first edition of the Night of Industry in Plovdiv attracted significant interest. The event was organized by the Bridge Between Generations Association and the Trakia Economic Zone Cluster, with the institutional partnership of the Executive Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.

Dozens of university students and school pupils from across Bulgaria took part in this celebration of technology, manufacturing, and career opportunities in the food industry. Participants included students from 15 schools in the Plovdiv region, university students from seven universities in Plovdiv and Sofia, as well as parents with children and other visitors eager to explore a real industrial production environment.

Valeri Vasilev, Chief Operations Officer at Bella Bulgaria, and Petar Petrov, Chief Technologist, personally welcomed the young visitors and their families to Fermata meat-processing facility, providing them with an in-depth introduction to its production operations. Guests had the opportunity to see some of the most advanced machinery and high-tech equipment used in the meat-processing industry in Bulgaria.

Fermata specializes in the production of all types of fresh and short-shelf-life meat products, including minced meat and meat preparations, frankfurters, sausages, Veal, Hamburg and Kamchia sausages, cooked and smoked delicacies, and hams.

The facility is equipped in accordance with the highest international technological standards. It is certified under IFS Food Standard Version 8 and holds the ‘Controlled Quality at the Producer’ certificate issued by TÜV NORD Bulgaria, recognizing the highest quality standards in meat production. Additional quality and food safety management systems implemented at the facility include HACCP, ISO 9001, and ISO 22000.
Every product sample undergoes organoleptic and physic-chemical analysis in the company’s own FoodScan laboratory. Additional quality control checks are conducted by accredited external laboratories.
The facility has also designed and is currently building the first room in Bulgaria equipped with a fully automated slicing and loading system.
A packaging recycling and sustainable packaging management system has been implemented as part of the company’s environmental commitment.
The production facility is powered by 100% green energy.
