By his own initiative and by recommendation of the Ministry of Forestry, the reporter and member of the European Parliament Jeffrey Van Orden, visited the enterprise, producing the sausages “Sachi” and “Leki”, financed by the SAPARD program on 01.11.2005. „I want to see for myself how the money of the European taxpayer is really used” – said Mr. Van Ordn, having into consideration the subsidiary of 6 million levs, with which the Bella Food Industry enterprise was built. His inspection round the sausage producing sheds lasted more than an hour. The member of the European Parliament took into account the exclusive security measures, which are a law with the company, and put on the special uniform. The Englishman tasted with obvious pleasure the frankfurters, which according to him are consumed by 70% of the Bulgarians. In his opinion, many British enterprises do not have the standards of the plant in Plovdiv.
